Rachel Hill
Objective: To obtain a full-time position in clinical nutrition upon graduating from my dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center and to utilize my critical thinking, clinical skills, and enthusiasm for this field.
Background: My love for dietetics was sparked when I first met my husband and began to understand the essential role that his dietitian played in his health maintenance as a cystic fibrosis patient. This led me to pursue and earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Louisiana State University and subsequently to apply and gain acceptance into the competitive dietetic internship program at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. My experiences in my dietetic internship and at home have only confirmed my steep interest in clinical dietetics. I am specifically interested in pediatrics and neonatology as well as critical illness and nutrition support. These areas merge my love for children and their families, my ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly, and my critical thinking and mathematical skills. |
